Cafeteria Manager – High School
10-month position

This position reports to the Director of School Nutrition and the school Principal.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience in food service operations and knowledge of health code regulations and HACCP
• Demonstrated managerial and positive leadership skills
• Ability to effectively align and manage resources, time schedules, and operational procedures
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, administrators, and teachers
• Must have computer skills in various software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, database programs, POS-system, and electronic
  mail

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Supervises school nutrition staff at assigned school
• Oversees the production and functions of the school cafeteria
• Provides a program that is consistent with federal and state guidelines
• Responsible for ordering, preparing reports, receiving orders, preparing daily/weekly work schedules, sending all correspondence as needed, and
  preparing menus and submitting any changes to the program director
• Attends managers workshops and meetings
• Ensures that staff members are certified and keep certifications renewed
• Reports problems and concerns to the director and/or the building director
• Provides nutrition education materials and monthly promotions within the school
• Makes bank deposits daily or ensures that deposits are made daily
• Ensures that cafeteria adheres to Health Department and HACCP guidelines
• Reviews all invoices for accuracy before presenting them to the central office for payment
• Keeps accurate records of food inventory, pricing, employee timecards, and school nutrition promotions
• Occasionally supervises division-wide catering events

Selected applicant must satisfactorily complete a drug and alcohol screen, criminal records check, and Child Protective Services check.

Entry salary range is $21,000 - $28,000, based on qualifications and experience, with a comprehensive benefits package.
