Advanced Placement

Advanced Placement (AP) classes are taught at Martinsville High School in the areas of mathematics, science, English, and social studies. Students enrolled in AP courses are expected to take the AP exam at the end of the school year, which with a certain score guarantees college credit at many universities. With AP, students are able to experience the rigors of college level studies while they still have the support of a high school environment. All students are encouraged to enroll in Advanced Placement classes.
