MCPS 2020-21 Student Handbooks

November 6, 2020

Parents and Guardians:

Today we will be mailing the 2020-2021 MCPS Student Expectations Handbook to our MCPS families. Please read through this and review it with your student(s). Once you have done so, we have included a self-addressed, postage paid envelope for you to use to send the signed forms from the handbook.

Also, we continue to monitor the community transmission data and consult with the West Piedmont Health Department to determine when we should move to Phase 2. Based on the CDC School Indicators data, Martinsville continues to be a high-risk area. Because keeping our students, staff, and families safe and healthy is a priority for Martinsville City Public Schools, we will continue in Phase 1 remote teaching and learning. We thank you for your partnership in the continued support of students in remote learning.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call your student’s school.

Thank you,

Dr. Zeb Talley, Jr.
