Athletics & Extracurricular Activities

At MCPS, giving students access to a variety of experiences is a critical component of our mission to empower success one learner at a time. Individual students have individual passions, and a wide range of programs offers each student the opportunity to discover and explore the thing that inspires them most. From robotics and theater to athletics and CTE, these programs are a hallmark of the MCPS educational experience.

Athletics

MCPS athletic teams have a long history of success. Our many programs offer student-athletes the chance to not only hone their physical abilities field, track, mat, or court, but to practice essential skills such as communication, goal-setting, cooperation, and more that will remain with them long after they have participated in their last athletic competition.

Any student who wishes to participate in athletics must complete the VHSL Physical Form.
