Two exciting scholarship opportunities are available for graduating seniors at Martinsville High School!
Charles Mayhue Bradley Scholarship
The Charles Mayhue Bradley Scholarship offers a one-time award of $1,000 to a deserving student who demonstrates academic excellence and has clear career goals. Established in 2023 by the IVA Bradley Baker and Luther Haywood Baker Charitable Fund, this scholarship supports students pursuing higher education at a two- or four-year college, university, or accredited trade school.
Eligibility Requirements
Current senior at Martinsville High School
Minimum GPA of 2.5
Acceptance to an accredited 2- or 4-year college, university, or trade school immediately after graduating high school
Submission of a college acceptance letter
Deadline: Friday, May 9, 2025
Award Notification
Recipients will be notified by May 13, 2025. The $1,000 award will be sent directly to the student's chosen institution to help cover tuition, fees, books, or other educational expenses.

Workforce Development Scholarship
For students pursuing vocational education, the MCPS CTE Sponsored Workforce Development Scholarship provides valuable financial support. This scholarship awards $1,000 each to three students enrolling in specific trade programs at Patrick and Henry Community College. Eligible programs include welding, precision machining, industrial electronics technology, computer-aided drafting, motorsports technology, residential/commercial electrician, HVAC, power line worker, and CDL certification programs.
Eligibility Requirements
Current senior at Martinsville High School
Enroll at Patrick & Henry Community College
Maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher
Participate in eligible trade programs
Not be a recipient of the Harvest SEED Scholarship
Deadline: Friday, May 9, 2025
Award Notification
Recipients will be notified by May 13, 2025. Following application submission, GPA verification and an in-person interview will be required. Scholarship checks will be sent directly to Patrick and Henry Community College.
