New Martinsville High School head basketball coach is hitting the ground running, and he's already focused on building the future of Bulldog basketball!
Hall will host the first annual Future Stars Basketball Camp, a four-day skills camp designed to help young and aspiring players grow their abilities, foster teamwork, and have fun on the court.
"We're excited to host the Future Stars camp for the first time," Hall said. "We're committed to providing a fun, safe, and enriching experience that will not only focus on skill development but also on teamwork."
A seasoned coach with more than 30 years of experience, Hall has amassed a 539-260 career record and earned 14 district championships and 12 Coach of the Year awards. He has mentored 36 players who went on to compete at the collegiate level and coached two McDonald’s All-Americans. In 2020, Hall himself was selected as a head coach for the prestigious McDonald’s All-American Game
The co-ed camp will run July 28-31 in the Martinsville Middle School gym (201 Brown Street, Martinsville). It's open to all rising first through sixth graders- you do not need to be enrolled with Martinsville City Schools to attend.
With the help of Hall and members of the Martinsville High School basketball coaching staff and team, campers will work on proper basketball techniques and fundamentals, building skills for all ability levels, and will put those skills into action in 3-vs-3 and 5-vs-5 games!
"Campers are going to work hard, learn new skills, meet new friends, and, most importantly, have fun!" Hall said.
Camp Details
Dates: July 28-31
Location: Martinsville Middle School gym
Grades and Times:
Rising 1st through 3rd grade: 10 a.m.—12 p.m.
Rising 4th through 6th grade: 1—3 p.m.
Cost: $10 per participant, cash only, payable on the first day of camp
Supplies: Campers should bring a water bottle and wear clothing appropriate for physical activity. All campers must wear appropriate athletic shoes- absolutely no slides, Crocs, or similar footwear.
